Euro Clash With Belgium Is Biggest Game For Wales – Bale

Gareth Bale has branded Wales’ Euro 2016 quarter-final clash with Belgium on Friday as the nation’s biggest game in decades.
Having ended a 58-year wait to reach a major tournament, Chris Coleman’s men have already matched the achievement of the 1958 team who reached the World Cup quarter-finals in Sweden before they were knocked out by a Pele goal for Brazil.
“Yes, I think it is fair to say it could be the biggest ever game for Wales, especially during my time and recent times,” said the Real Madrid star.
“We know about the quarter-final in 1958 but since then it’s definitely the biggest game in Welsh football.
“It is one we’re looking forward to, eager to get started and excited about. We just want to enjoy the occasion, take it all in, and hopefully we can get into the semis,” Bale added.
“We don’t need extra motivation, they are a very good team, we understand that, their goal is to win the Euros.
“They see every team they play as a stepping stone to the final. That’s not disrespectful, that’s their opinion. We’re happy about that.
“But it’s about us, concentrating on ourselves and trying to execute our game plan. We’ve beaten them before so it can be done again.”
Wales are the last of the British nations remaining in the competition after knocking out Northern Ireland in the last 16, while England capitulated to lose to minnows Iceland.
It means Wales will be the focus of UK attention when they take to the field in Lille. Bale and his colleagues are delighted to have the chance to fly the flag for British football as well as themselves.
“We very happy, it’s our time to shine. We’re the only home nation left in the competition which is an amazing achievement in itself,” he said.
“The Northern Ireland game was a very ugly one that was not suited to us but to win a game like that shows the team spirit and character we’ve got.
“We’re very happy and proud to fly the flag of Wales on this stage.”
Wales have plenty of experience of facing Belgium, with the two sides having met four times in the last four years.
The Dragons are unbeaten in the last three of those games, picking up a famous win over the Red Devils in Cardiff last June.
Bale scored the winner that night, and believes it was an epochal moment for the entire Welsh set-up.
“It was my most important Welsh goal, for sure, especially at that time in the campaign,” he said.
“We were in and around top spot and very close. In a way, it gave us that space between us and everyone else, an extra two points we didn’t expect.
“So it was an important goal for me personally on my 50th cap and, for the team, obviously it also gave us that belief that we can take on the big teams, that we can beat the big teams.
“We have evolved since there and we have improved.”

I’m Going For Medal At Paralympics – Obiora

Being her second appearance at the Paralympic Games, Faith Obiora, believes she would return to Nigeria with a medal at the end of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games in Brazil.
The captain of Team Nigeria to the 2010 Commonwealth Games told NationSport that with her preparation coupled with her experience, she is capable of clinching a medal in the para table tennis event of the games.
“In Morocco, I must admit that it was not easy qualifying for the Paralympic Games but I think I worked hard for the qualification,” she said.
Obiora, who has been training at the National Training Centre of the Lagos National Stadium, is in fine form the games while hoping that she would make it to the podium.
Crowned African champion when she won the Women’s Singles Class 1-5 title in Agadir, Morocco last October, Obiora will be the one female amongst the three players from Nigeria who will be competing in the Brazilian city.

Chelsea Could Sign Pato Permanently

Alexandre Pato could still sign for Chelsea on a permanent deal, according to his agent Gilmar Veloz.
Pato joined Chelsea on loan from Corinthians with an option to buy in January but made just two Premier League appearances under Guus Hiddink, scoring once from the penalty spot.
With his spell at Stamford Bridge set to expire at the end of June the striker has been linked to a number of Brazilian sides, including two of his former teams in Internacional and Sao Paulo.
Corinthians president Roberto de Andrade has suggested Pato could return to the club and see out the remainder of his contract, which is due to expire in December.
However, Veloz still believes Chelsea could still exercise their option to retain the former Brazil international.
“Pato has already [reportedly] signed with Inter, Sao Paulo, Palmeiras, Flamengo – how is he going to sign when he has a contract with Chelsea until June 30?” he told Globo Esporte.
“He has a document there ready for a four-year contract if Chelsea wished to exercise it.
“I do not know if they are going to, I am not Roman Abramovich.
“If they decide not to buy him, it will be up to Corinthians to decide what to do. Pato is on holiday waiting on his future.”

5 Swimmers To Represent Nigeria At African Championships

Five swimmers are to represent the country at the African Championships later in the year, the Chairman, Lagos State Aquatic Association, Samuel Jasimiel said on Wednesday.
Jasimiel said that the swimmers are from Lagos State, Delta and Edo, adding that they qualified at the West African trials in Senegal in June.
He said that Nigeria coming third in the West African qualifiers was not a bad result because of the inadequate facilities in the country.
“We are able to secure third place in the competition in Senegal; the representatives were drawn from the open trial that was conducted at Teslim Balogun Stadium in April.
“Those that qualified to represent the country have since gone back to their different states to continue their private training.
“We are unable to camp the swimmers now because we have yet to receive financial allocation from Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Stadium, Lagos Swimming Pool is not ready.
“We are thereby constrained by paucity of funds but as soon as the money is released, we will start camping because the championships are just about two months away,’’ he said.
On the proposed national swimming competition formerly slated for Cross River in June, Jasimiel said that the hosting right had been
withdrawn from the state.
“Cross Rivers will not be hosting the tournament as announced because their swimming pool is not ready; we are told to partner with them to refurbish it but we also lack funds.
“We have proposed to another state and they have promised to look into it. The commissioner of sport of that state is ready to
host, we are waiting for the governor’s approval.
“When everything is ready we will then give the date for the competition which I believe will not be far from our expectation.
“Lack of competitions in swimming is not peculiar to us, it cuts across the federations, but as soon as the swimming pool is ready, we will set the ball rolling,’’ he said.

Eagles Don’t Need Foreign Coach – Bewarang Cautions NFF

As the calls for the appointment of a substantive coach for the Super Eagles heightens, following last Friday’s 2018 World Cup qualifying draw which pitched the Eagles against Zambia, Cameroon and Algeria, the president of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA) and former coach of Plateau United, Bitrus Bewarang, has advised the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to drop the idea of hiring a foreign coach.
He insisted that it is time to give the indigenous coaches their rightful place, rather than take technical decisions without the input of the coaches.
Bewarang opined that the difficult World Cup qualifying group Nigeria found herself in called for a home-grown approach to getting the ticket for Russia 2018.
He emphasised that those who understood the African football terrain, especially Nigerian coaches, should be given the opportunity to handle the Super Eagles.
He used the opportunity to pay tribute to Stephen Keshi and Amodu Shuaibu, describing them as “world class coaches” who were not recognised until their death.
He asked the NFF to, as a sign of respect for these coaches, look inwards and identify from the pool of competent coaches in Nigeria and appoint a coach for the Super Eagles.

MTN Pays N27bn To NCC For 6GHz Licence

The executive vice chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Umar Danbatta, has confirmed the payment of $96 million (about N26.88 billion) by MTN Nigeria being licence fee for the 30MHz in the 2.6 GHz spectrum band which it won recently.
MTN had emerged the qualified bidder that expressed interest to bid for Six (6) Lots out of the Fourteen (14) Lots on offer and paid the bid deposit as specified by the Information Memorandum (IM) on the auction.
Danbatta informed stakeholders that MTN Nigeria having emerged the sole preferred bidder in the licensing process on the 2.6 GHz Spectrum, had been issued a letter of provisional award provisioned on the payment of specified fees for the Spectrum, having made the payment.
“In line with the provisions of the Information Memorandum guiding the auction process, having paid the fees specified for 2 x 30 MHz in the 2.6 GHz Spectrum, MTN Nigeria Communications Limited has been awarded the license,” Danbatta stated in a statement he signed on behalf of the federal government.
NCC had in line with Information Memorandum planned to auction 70MHz in the 2.6 GHz Spectrum Band.
The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) recommendation set aside spectrum in the 2.6GHz band for the provision of Advanced Wireless Broadband Services (AWS). The Commission will issue the winner a 10 year National Spectrum licence on a state by state basis and the Federal Capital Territory.
It would be recalled that the the Commission on March 11, 2016, published an Information Memorandum (IM) expressing its intention to auction 2 x 70 MHz in the 2.6GHz Frequency Band on behalf of the federal government and at the close of submission of applications and the subsequent evaluation thereof, MTN emerged the sole approved bidder with an expressed interest to bid for 2 x 30 MHz of the available frequency.
Consequently and in in accordance with Clause 6.5.3 of the IM which mandates the commission to provisionally award licence(s) to the approved bidder(s) if the aggregate demand is less than or equal to the number of Lots on offer, the commission declared MTN winner and provisionally awarded it 2 x 30 MHz frequency in the 2.6 GHz Band.

Guys, See 7 Commonly Used Medications That is Affecting You

We’ve all heard of drugs that can improve one’s S3@.x:’ performance, but sadly there are some that can actually kill it.
Whenever you have that feeling you are not interested in having S3@.x:’, the culprits can be found in your medications.
It can be disheartening knowing that something that is supposed to make you healthier is negatively impacting another aspect of your life.
From simple cold to nausea to rashes, most medications can cause side effects. Here are 7 common medications and how they affect your libido:
1. Marijuana causes ej@.cul@.tion problems: Though marijuana is now considered a medication in some countries, the drug is credited with improving nausea and nerve pain.
However this drug cause problems in bed. A survey published in the Journal of S3@.x:’ual Medicine found that men who used marijuana daily were more likely to have both premature ej@.cul@.tion and delayed ej@.cul@.tion.

2. Sleeping pills can cause prolonged erections: Trazodone is an antidepressant and sedative that’s often prescribed to help people fall asleep. But the drug is also known to cause priapism an erection that lasts longer than four hours.
If you stay hard for that long, it means that blood is trapped in your Pen.!s. Without treatment, priapism can lead to severe pain, tissue damage, and even permanent ED. A study in 2015 revealed that 10 out of 13 patients taking trazodone dropped out because of its side effects, including prolonged erections. See the doctor if your erection lasts longer than four hours.

3. Painkillers can make your testosterone drop: Men who are on prescribed painkiller have their testosterone levels drop to the very lowest levels. The possible side effects are across the board for all opioids (Opioids are drugs that act on the nervous system to relieve pain).
Opioids impair your brain’s chemicals that tell your testicles to produce testosterone, Dr. Lamm says. Low T can kill your libido and your erection.

4. Medication for blood pressure can cause erectile dysfunction: Some medications for high blood pressurenbeta-blockers and diuretics can cause ED, says Steven Lamm, M.D., the medical director of NYU Langone’s Preston Robert Tisch Center for Men’s Health.
Beta-blockers lower BP by interfering with your sympathetic nervous system, while diuretics help relax blood vessel walls. While that’s good news for your heart, it can also reduce blood flow to your Pen.!s, making it difficult to get hard.

5. Antidepressants prevent org@.$ms:Common antidepressants which include prozac, paxil, zoloft, and lexapro can kill the mood in bedroom. One of the most common complaints among men is delayed ej@.cul@.tion which means you have trouble reaching org@.$m
An Irish study review found that up to three quarters of people on these meds experience S3@.x:’ual dysfunction.
The drugs manipulate the neurotransmitters in your brain, which can postpone your ej@.cul@.tory response. It can also lower your testosterone, which can interfere with your ability to get off.
6. Birth control pills: or*l contraceptives can lower levels of S3@.x:’ hormones, including testosterone, and therefore may also affect libido.
Non-hormonal contraceptives, such as an IUD, are good alternatives. Less popular are condoms and diaphragms. Or you can try one of the many other birth control pills available. Bear in mind that the pill can also increase your S3@.x:’ drive.
7. Anti-seizure drugs: Tegretol can be a game changer for people who have seizures and even for some with bipolar disorder. But the price can be reduced S3@.x:’ual desire.

Tegretol and other drugs like it work by preventing impulses from traveling along the nerve cells, but therein lies the problem. An org@.$m is similar to a seizure in both, sensory input triggers a body response says Dr. Goldstein. Medications that dampen nerve impulses can also reduce pleasurable sensations. In short, the things that used to stimulate you just may not do it for you any more.

50cent Arrested For Saying Motherf**ker In The Carribean

50 Cent was arrested in St. Kitts in the Caribbean Saturday night for using a word that’s apparently illegal there … ‘motherf*****.
TMZ reports that 50 had been warned not to use profanity during his performance in front of 40,000 people.
We’re told the DJ didn’t have a clean version of his set, and 50 didn’t pull the mic away from his mouth when he roared, “motherf*****” … and that was enough to get him arrested.
Cops showed up after the performance and took 50 to the station, where he was booked for using profanity in public.  It’s a minor offense, but he has to stick around until Monday when he’ll go to court and pay a fine.
The same thing happened to DMX in 2003.

We Will Soon Go After Banks MD’s – EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, says the anti-graft agency will eventually go after bank MDs found culpable…whose banks are involved in money laundering, especially through the use of private banking
“We had a discussion with the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and I insisted that this so-called private banking should be stopped. It is illegal. It is wrong. We are not only going after the personnel of the banks but also after the banks.
What happens is that when a staff of the bank is involved in such activities, what the bank does is to take the person out of the system through dismissal. But now, we are going to go after the banks and the personnel used to perpetrate the fraud. It takes two to tango. In fact, very soon you will see us going after the Managing Directors of the banks. We don’t care what happens because the right thing has to be done. These people have given a lot of room for the money laundering activities to thrive. They were used to hide all the stolen money” He said
