Liverpool shake up backroom staff as head physio leaves after 10 years

Jurgen Klopp has made several changes to backroom staff since joining Liverpool last October.
Liverpool have announced head physiotherapist Chris Morgan is to leave the club this summer after 10 years working for the Reds with both the first team and the academy.

His departure follows that of fitness and conditioning coach Ryland Morgans late last season and continues a reshaping of backroom staff under manager Jurgen Klopp.

In a statement on the club's official website, Liverpool thanked Morgan for his contribution.

It read: "Chris is someone who commands the professional respect and personal warmth of the first-team players and all his colleagues at Melwood.

"The dedication and commitment he has shown to Liverpool, over a long period, has been immense. His expertise and experience has rightly gained him industry-wide recognition.

"We thank Chris for his considerable contribution and everyone at the club wishes him success for the future."

For his own part, Morgan posted an emotional message on social media thanking those who had given him the chance to be experience things he "never dreamt" of before wishing the team luck for the next season.
