Flavour N’abania tries a career in acting as he is spotted on the set of a Nollywood movie.
The movie which is titled Professor Johnbull has a comic plot and is being shot in Enugu, a South-Eastern part of Nigeria.
Popularly called The Flavour of Africa due to his style of music, he said, “No matter the ups and downs of life, I’m secure with the knowledge and faith that I will always see brighter days ahead.”
Brighter days seem cryptically to mean “I can do movies when music stops.”
Flavour N’abania will be staring alongside Mercy Johnson Okojie, Queen Nwokoye, Junior Pope, and Tchidi Chikere.
Other casts in the movie which is powered byGlo, a telecommunications company in Nigeria, include, Kanayo O Kanayo, Official Bovi, Bishop Umoh aka Okon Lagos, Bimbo Akintola, AY the Comedian, OC Ukeje, Funky Mallam, Helen Paul, and Bidemi Kosoko.
With such a star-studded cast, it definitely looks like a movie everyone would want to see.
Born Chinedu Okoli, Flavour is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer who began his musical career as a church drummer in his hometown of Enugu State.
The 32-year-old is currently signed to 2nite Entertainment record label (his own) and is famous across Africa and the international world for his hit song Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix).
Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix) originally appeared on his debut album N’abania released in 2005 but was released as a remix in his highly successful second studio album Uplifted in 2010.
Flavour N’abania in character mode
We can’t help but wonder if Flavour would ace his character in the Professor Johnbull movie and take acting as a side job or he’s just testing the waters of Nollywood and would either swim to shore or sink.
Worthy of note, Flavour dropped a new single late last month Professor JohnBull (Prod. By Masterkraft). The lyrics of the song should give an insight to the movie.
What do you think? Will he swim? Or sink?
