Sir Alex congratulates Ronaldo on Euro 2016 win

The star spent six trophy-laden seasons under Fergie at Old Trafford and has previously hailed the 72-year-old for being a father figure, so watch as the former Manchester United manager patiently waits to greet the Portugal star

Cristiano Ronaldo was congratulated by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson as the Portugal star celebrated winning Euro 2016.
Ferguson, who won three Premier League titles, two League Cups, an FA Cup and a Champions League with Ronaldo at Old Trafford, can be seen patiently waiting to greet his former star in a heartwarming fan-shot video.
The pair have retained a tight bond and the former United boss was on hand to see his former superstar lead his nation to the Euro 2016 trophy, albeit from the sidelines following a knee injury sustained early in the final.
